Nursery Progress

This past weekend we painted Samantha's nursery, purchased a new couch that folds out, and made the mobile. We ordered the crib this week & it's on the way! We're really getting excited :)

The crib will go on the right next to the dresser/changing table. This is our accent wall, we painted it a lighter green than the other three walls. I made the bird mobile with sticks I collected on our hikes & the flowers & birds are made of cardstock - the hanger is a temporary mounting solution.

This little rocking chair came from my mom & dad, they saved it from when I was a kid.

This is the tree wall mural that we're going to put on the accent wall - Our little Sammie will have a beautiful tree overlooking her crib :)

Making Pagach for Easter

First Craig made the bread dough & let it rise until it doubled in size. While that was rising, I made the filling - potatos, sharp cheddar cheese & chives

Next the dough & filling came together, first here's the filling on the dough ready to be closed upAnd here's the potato filled dough all rolled out & ready to bake
... and of course the finished product... delicious!

Spring has sprung at home

Today was a beautiful day. The sun was out, it was nice and warm. Craig & I had dinner on the deck - taco salad and I had an excellent mock-tail - a frozen OJ and sourmix combo. It was delicious. Even the cats decided to join us for some late afternoon sun. The redwing blackbirds have all returned to the marsh to breed and the air is filled with their calls. As the sun sets in the evening the sound of peeper frogs chime in the air - such a wonderful reminder that spring is here.
