Winter Holidays

A few days before Thanksgiving we had a visitor in our backyard. This buck was stalking a doe that was hiding in the woods. I think he was trying to impress her, but she was more interested in munching on the trees than him.

We took Sammie to the same tree farm we went to last year to get our Christmas tree. She always enjoys being outside. We picked the perfect tree to bring home and Craig cut it down for us :)

Yesterday Santa came to daycare to see the kids. Sammie did very well. Although she was a little uncertain at first, she did sit on Santa's lap and didn't cry! ... She told him she wants a red Porsche and a Louie Vuitton handbag... we're in trouble ;)

We are all looking forward to Christmas this weekend, especially seeing Sammie open all her presents! Merry Christmas Everyone!

Beautiful Fall Weekend

We had a wonderful weekend! We spent lots of time enjoying the beautiful fall weather. Sammie loves playing outside. We took a walk around our neighborhood. She is really getting so good at walking. She loves getting places herself.

Sammie & I explored a new park close to our house on Saturday morning. She loves the park. She rode on the bug & spring dinosaur. She collected lots of leaves for me and went on the swings too.

We even played in the backyard on our swingset. Sammie loves swinging!

On Sunday we went for a hike on the Tunxis trail in Southington with Mike, Stef and Lilly. It was such a warm day, the perfect day for a hike.

Sammie enjoyed the pretty views and sitting on the rocks. She picked moss and rocks and gave them to Craig & I. She did very well walking around on the rocks.

What a great weekend! I wish they weren't over so quickly!

October Fun

Sammie spent some time with Grandma Sue and Grandpa Dave this fall. She went for a ride in the wheelbarrow, played in the leaves, and enjoyed the last of the fresh garden tomatos.

We took our annual trip to Lyman Orchards to pick out our pumpkins. Sammie had so much fun. She loved crawling in all the pumpkins.

Sammie did end up picking a pumpkin - a tiny, cute one, just like her.

We carved our pumpkins and displayed them on the porch.
