Snowy Tuesday Morning
This morning Sammie & I took advantage of the snowy day and snuggled in bed for a while, Sammie was apparently still tired & fell back asleep until 7:20 :) She seems so tiny in our big bed!
When she woke up she was in a great mood, she had peaches & rice cereal & a bottle & then we got into her cute OshKosh cords for daycare... Here's happy Sammie after I got her dressed

4 Months and Counting
Yesterday Sammie went to see the pediatrician for her 4 month checkup. She did very well. She has grown a lot, she is now 26 inches tall and weighs 14lbs 3 oz. She is in the 95th percentile for height and the 55th for weight. She even did well with her immunizations, only waking up one extra time in the night last night because she was uncomfortable.
This morning she enjoyed her breakfast of rice cereal and pears. The Dr. said we can start adding non-green veggies next week and green veggies the week after that. Fun new foods!
I went on a little adventure myself this afternoon - exploring a path through the marsh in our backyard that appeared sometime this fall. It was lots of fun, I used my snowshoes to float on the 24+ inches of snow we have. I still wasn't able to determine what kind of animal could have made the path.

Snow Day - Part II
So in addition to today being Sammie's first official snow day, it's also her 4 month birthday. I put her in this really cute - perfect for a snowy day outfit that I got at Target for $2! - but she didn't want to smile for me she just wanted to eat her hand.
She played on her activity mat this morning while Pepper watched - she is starting to take interest in the cats, but only Pepper takes any interest in her, Cash still stays away.

Sammie on her first official snow day! Daycare is closed today due to the weather, Craig's work is closed & I'm staying home with them :) Here's Sammie in her bouncy seat after breakfast happy about staying home with mommy & daddy for the day.
This is the view out our front door. There was over a foot and a half of snow piled up to my door when I opened it this morning - you can see it at the bottom of this picture.

What a difference working full time makes...
This week is my first week back to work full time. Its a difficult transition back to working full time, mostly because I miss Sammie so much, but I get to spend time with her in the mornings until I have to bring her to daycare at 8:30.
This morning after having her breakfast of rice cereal & pears I put her in the jumperoo for some bouncy-time. She decided she was more interested in licking the jumperoo than she was jumping - I managed to snap this funny picture of her :)
Sammie made this nice artwork on my Ipad - I held it in front of her & she moved her hands around on the screen to make a beautiful first picture!
