Sammie's day with Grandma

Tuesday Grandma Teri came over to spend the day with Sammie. They spent lots of time practicing Sammie's sitting on the couch, and in her boppy. Sammie loves her Sophie the Giraffe.

Sammie also loves playing in her highchair - this is happy Sammie after her breakfast of bananas and mixed berries!

5 Months!

Samantha turned 5 months old this weekend. I can't believe how fast time flies! She is getting so big and so determined to get herself mobile. She watches Pepper (one of our cats) like a hawk, Pepper is in trouble when Sammie gets moving.

This morning she had some mangos and rice cereal for breakfast. Mangos are her favorite, she also likes peaches and pears. She doen't like her vegetables though, hopefully that will change with time.

We had some playtime on the floor after breakfast. Sammie loves to roll around on the floor.

Sitting up - Sammie can support herself sitting for very short periods of time, she gets better at it every day.

Even more than sitting up, she LOVES to stand. She is constantly putting her legs out underneath herself - when you try to sit her down on your lap she stands up, when you hold her hands & sit her up from a lying position on the floor she straightens her legs & stands instead of sitting. Even when I try to put her down on the changing table to get a clean diaper she tries to stand up!

Sammie has gotten more accepting of tummy time, she will lay there for a while, just looking around. She especially likes it when you lay on the floor with her.

Sammie slept through the night for the very first time Friday night. It was wonderful. Last night she went back to her one nightly wakeup, but hopefully she'll phase those out as time goes on. I am so proud of our 5 month old nugget, she is such a good little girl!

Monday with Grandma Teri

Grandma Teri came over yesterday to spend the day with Sammie. They played, napped, ate, went for a walk, read books & even practiced rolling over & standing up!

Grandma & Sammie went for a walk together, they got about 20 steps & Sammie was sound asleep - here she is still asleep in her snuggly-suit after the walk.

Grandma & Sammie had a great day. Sammie LOVES to stand up now. She also loves to play rollover - she gets so happy when she finally makes it over :)

Another Snow Day

Daycare was closed again today due to the weather, so Sammie & I spent the day at home together. She took some naps - she loves to put her fingers through her blanket when she's napping!
... and she loves to have her eyes covered, she does the same thing when I put a hat on her.

Everything goes in her mouth now, I think she's teething, hence the excessive amounts of drool. She played in the jumperoo - hands in her mouth the whole time of course.
